The relief effort for the victims continue through the night..

Widespread damage is being discovered along state Route 93 where a tornado hit.

"I just freaked out, I've never been that scared before in my life I didn't know what to do, you know, on one hand my wife and my son are in the house and I have no way to get a hold of them, I see it coming right towards my house," said Storm Victim Jeff Burgess.

There are reports that more than one  tornado has hit parts of Perry County.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that there is damage to homes and power lines in the Six Mile Turn area. 

A Perry County Sheriff's Department Dispatcher says there were multiple tornado touchdowns in the Perry County area.  One report is indicating that some house trailers are on their sides.

Officials say the northwest Ohio tornado that killed five people over the weekend left behind an area that looks like a war zone. The damage is estimated to be a cost of at least $100,000,000.

The storms hit at a time when many people were unprotected, in their sleep.

Conditions this time of year are prime for severe weather, and some of those severe storms can be capable of producing tornados. Tornados can develop so quickly and are extremely powerful.

"Tornadoes not only will kill you but create enough utter devastation. Your stuff can be in the next county. Your house can be in your neighbor's yard. It's very traumatic seeing everything you own destroyed in a matter of 30 seconds, much different than a flood and much different than a fire...

Sirens were wailing Wednesday morning in preparation for tornado season.

Wednesday at 9:50 a.m. the Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency tested all thirty-seven sirens in the county. Only two sirens malfunctioned.

"One of those has already been repaired, it is a small electrical issue within the control unit. The other one is receiving interference, so it is not receiving the radio signal, so we have a call into AEP to find out where that...
