With the recent coverage of the Ray Rice domestic violence case, many people have been raising awareness on the issue at hand.

A group of about eight women at Primrose Retirement Community have spent the last two months making fleece blankets for Transitions, a domestic violence shelter that serves women and children in Muskingum, Morgan and Perry counties.

An annual luncheon took place on Friday to raise money for victims of domestic violence.

Transitions Incorporated, a local women's shelter hosted their 9th annual luncheon and silent auction at the Zanesville Country Club. More than a 100 attendees participated in the silent auction that featured a few very personal items.

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a local women's shelter is having a special luncheon.

Transitions Incorporated will be hosting its annual luncheon and silent auction this Friday at noon at the Zanesville Country Club. The money raised at the event will go towards paying for the daily living expenses of the women who reside at the shelter.

Domestic violence has been a silent killer in homes, schools, and communities for years. Friday the Domestic Violence Shelter- Transitions- hosted their annual luncheon to recognize, end and heal domestic abuse.

The recent Muskingum County shooting that left one man dead in an apparent domestic dispute is raising awareness about the issue of domestic violence.

City and state officials gathered with community members Friday at the Zanesville Country Club to help bring awareness to domestic violence.

Around 70 people attended Transitions Fundraising Luncheon. This is the 30th year Transitions has held the luncheon and last year it raised $5,000. The keynote speaker today is Ohio Supreme Court Justice Evelyn Stratton. She says it is important to break the cycle of domestic violence.
