A large plume of white smoke could be seen for miles in South Zanesville Sunday afternoon.
Ed and Marilyn Labaki say they were dumping leaves on Clay Street when they believe their Ford Ranger pick-up sparked a fire in the leaves below the truck. The fire quickly engulfed the pick-up truck and surrounding leaves. The South Zanesville Fire Department arrived on scene to put out the fire. No one was injured in the fire and the Labakis say the truck is a complete loss.
Interstate 70 eastbound near Pataskala is back open after being closed for nearly an hour.
The Granville Post of the State Highway patrol says a commercial truck caught fire while driving. It happened around 7 p.m. near mile marker 118.
