Zanesville City Officials say the southbound lane of Underwood Street will be closed Wednesday and Thursday from Market Street to Main Street.

The Zanesville Water Department will be making necessary repairs to the intersection.

Detours will be posted.

The Zanesville Police Department responded to an injury accident on Underwood Street Sunday afternoon.

Officials say a black Dodge Durango was traveling south on Underwood at around 4pm, when a blue Corolla pulled off of Shinnick Street, colliding with the SUV and pushing it into the northbound lanes.

Police say the passenger of the Corolla was taken by Community Ambulace to Genesis Good Samiritan Hospital for further observation.

At the corner of Zane Street and Underwood Traffic slowed down - but only for a minute.

Zanesville Fire Fighters waved down passing vehicles asking them to help "Fill the Boot." This is the second time in recent weeks the crew has hit the street to raise money and awareness of the disease through the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Two weeks ago they raised more than $6,900. Today, they hope to beat that amount - raising a total of $15,000.

An accident at the intersection of Underwood Street and Zane Street sends one person to Genesis Good Samaritan hospital.

The Zanesville Police Department was on the scene. The accident occurred around 1pm and involved a gold Chrysler Town and Country, and a red Grand-Am. Traffic traveling on Underwood was backed-up. The accident remains under investigation.

The Zanesville Police Department is investigating an evening accident on Underwood Street that sent one to the hospital.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. near Wendy's.

Sergeant Chris Phipps says the driver of the red Buick was making a left from Eastman Street when he suffered a medical condition and hit a green Jeep traveling northbound on Underwood Street.

Three people were involved in the incident, but Phipps says only the driver of the red Buick was transported to Good...
