There is free help availble if you think you may have have a problem completing your tax return.

The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties is $50,000 short of its goal and now they are looking for help from businesses in the community.

The United Way is granting money to a local organization that they believe will have a positive effect on the community.

The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan county is giving the Muskingum Valley Boy Scouts $5,000 as part of its Community Grant Impact Funds. The Boy Scouts will use the money to develop a Learning for Life Post Program designed specifically for at-risk youth and youth in the juvenile court system.

AEP has given the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties a grant of more than $15,000.

The company based the grant amount on the number of AEP customers in the three counties.

The money will be used to help AEP customers in the area who are one month behind rent or mortgage payments.

Representatives from the United Way met with the Muskingum County Commissioners Thursday to give updates on the organizations many programs.

We all know Santa loves to eat and Saturday morning local kids got the chance to have breakfast with Santa while supporting a good cause.

Local businesses are teaming up to support a non profit group and cheer on the Buckeyes at the same time.

The United Way might be only half-way through their campaign season, but the early numbers look good.
