Ice cream lovers from all over the state ventured to Utica this Memorial Day weekend for the 41st annual Utica Sertoma Ice Cream Festival.
The festival, held on the grounds of Energy Cooperative and Velvet Ice Cream Company, offers more than just ice cream. Attendees can enjoy free games, live entertainment, crafts and more! A 37-year-old man drowned in a pond Saturday near Utica at a company picnic.
The Licking County Sheriff's Department responded to a call at 3342 Van Fossen Rd. NW around 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Dive crews were called to assist in the search. The man's body was recovered in approximately 16 feet of water shortly after 7:00 p.m. The man's name has not been released at this time. We will keep you updated as details become available.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office investigated the sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl.
The Licking County Sheriff's Office said that Friday May 2, their department learned of the multiple sexual assaults on the girl by a 14-year-old male. Authorities said the victim, from Utica, was interviewed by detectives and Children's Services at the Licking County Child Advocate Center.
