Ohioans wanting to vote in the upcoming presidential primary must register by Tuesday. Voters can get their registration forms online at or at county boards of elections. Those mailing in their registration forms must have them postmarked by Tuesday to be considered valid. There are 2 deadlines fast approaching with regards to the presidential election.

Muskingum County Board of Elections Director Timothy Thompson said if you want to vote in the primary election in March. The deadline to register to vote is this month.

"Voter's registrations deadline is February 16th. We will be open until 9 o clock that night. Voter's can even come in last minute can register to vote if they so choose. The next day early voting starts. We have extended hours...

 A special election will be held in Muskingum County on Tuesday, February 8th. Polls will be open from 6:30am - 7:30pm. The issue on the ballot is a 5-mill fire levy for the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department.

"We have approximately 790 registered voters in the Village of Frazeysburg and I feel that maybe we will have a 15% turn out," said Elections Director, Chris Hamill.

If the issue does not pass, voters will see it on the ballot again.

Election Day may is still over a month away, but some area residents took advantage of early voting.

Starting today, Ohio voters may cast no-fault absentee ballots for the November 3 elections.

Board of Election Director Chris Hamill says the office has been busy mailing absentee ballots--sending out nearly 350. Hamill said there have been quite a few people coming into the Board of Elections as well.

"Actually it's been a busy first day," said  Hamill....
