As early voting begins in Ohio, the state’s elections chief is offering first-ever online videos describing three statewide fall ballot issues. Voters may cast early ballots starting Tuesday. Members of the Muskingum County Board of Elections were sworn in Monday afternoon.

Muskingum County Board of Elections Director, Chris Hamill, says those interested in running in the May 6 primary, need to get their papers into the board of elections by Feb. 5. Interested candidates can pick up petition forms up at their Seventh Street location.

The November general election is over but there's still work to be done.

Muskingum County Board of Elections employees are busy preparing for the official count of election results. Director Chris Hamill says the count will happen on Nov. 19.

Voter turnout in Muskingum County is being called light, which is expected since not all voters are eligible to cast a ballot.
