A walk to raise awareness of addiction, suicide prevention and mental health while celebrating recovery, took place Saturday morning.

One local school district held their first ever Wellness 5K Run and One Mile Walk on Saturday.

After receiving a grant from "Action For Healthy Kids" program to increase activity within their middle school, organizers had to think of an April event to get the community up and moving.

A fundraising festival and walk took place at Ohio University Zanesville on Saturday to raise awareness about Crohn's and Colitis diseases.

Three men are walking 835 miles in 50 days, all to spread awareness about depression and mental health issues.

They started on August 14th in St. Louis and hope to reach Washington D.C. by October 7th, which marks National Depression Screening Day.

The Zanesville community gathered today to remember a well-loved teen. A walk, poker run, and benefit at the Zanesville Eagles was held today to raise money for the Beau Greiner Scholarship Fund. Beau Greiner attended Foxfire High School and was killed in a car accident on November 24th of last year. Today was dedicated to honoring him and providing a tribute to his family.

It was a beautiful day for a walk around the park. More than 200 people gathered at Zane Landing Park in support of a very special cause. A walk was held to help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis, a disease with no cure, and no government funding. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation exists to provide money to help find a cure.

Area residents will have the chance to lace up their tennis shoes and walk for a good cause.

Foxfire High School is sponsoring the third annual Walk for Diabetes.
