Two suspects in a series of thefts are in custody at the Zanesville City Jail. 

Zanesville Police Captain Tony Coury said that 30-year-old Timothy Young and 30-year-old Kelly Samson face charges. 

Captain Coury said on Tuesday morning the pair went to Wal-mart in South Zanesville and stole two Dyson sweepers. They then traveled to Harbor Freight on Maple Avenue taking tools, before taking a television from the Kmart North.

The Salvation Army and Walmart are teaming up once again to bring presents to less fortunate children in our area.

Everyone is familiar with The Salvation Army red kettles outside many major retailers, but for the past couple of years, a new tradition has begun inside both Zanesville Walmart stores.

Children had the opportunity to do some holiday shopping with the help of local law enforcement.

The Associates Lodge of Fraternal Order of Police hosted their annual "Shop with a Cop" event at Walmart North in Zanesville. About 50 area children in need selected by Children Services, East Side Community Ministry, and other organizations were given the opportunity to spend 110-dollars to buy items they need and one toy of choice.
