A semi accident is under investigation Tuesday morning. 

The accident took place just after 5 a.m. on Interstate 70 west near the Adamsville exit. 

Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene as well as the State Highway Patrol. 

Scanner indicates the driver suffered some lacerations due to the accident and was extricated from the vehicle. 

The Emergency Management Agency was also called as the fuel tank was leaking....

Washington Township Fire Department had its annual Mother's Day Dinner Sunday.

The event has been going on for 47 years now. The celebration was open to the public, and those who came could have a meal for only $9. All of the money goes towards the operation of the department and the purchasing of equipment. Fire Chief Gene Hanning described the food that was served.

Since 1968, the Washington Township Fire Department has celebrated Mother's Day with a chicken cookout. 

And that hasn't changed for this year. The department will host its 47th annual Mother's Day cookout on Sunday, May 10. President, Bruce Burley said meals will start being served at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until they run out of chicken. He said it's a good way to spend time with family.

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ) - The Muskingum County Coroner, Dr. Charles Feicht, says the deceased baby found on Muskingum Universities Campus last week was born alive. The mother of the baby was interviewed by Muskingum County Sheriffs Detectives, at this time no charges have been field.

The Former assistant fire chief of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department was arraigned in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday morning. 

Adam Siddle faces a combined 16 counts of theft, telecommunications fraud, forgery and money laundering. The charges stem from a six month investigation, and all together, Siddle is charged with the theft of nearly $1 million. The investigation into the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department has resulted in an arrest.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office arrested Adam Siddle. He is the former Assistant Chief of the volunteer ire department. Sheriff Matt Lutz was cautious to release many details about the case since it is still ongoing, but he did say Siddle is indicted on 16 counts.
