The State Highway Patrol said alcohol may have been a factor in an accident Saturday evening.
Trooper Stephen Williams said the driver of a Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound on Old Wheeling Road when he clipped an underground phone line and a private gas well before crashing into a utility pole.
"The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center for medical treatment, and we do believe that alcohol was a factor in this crash," said Williams.

A man is left homeless Monday evening after a fire in Washington Township.
According to Washington Township Fire Chief Gene Hanning, the homeowner came home from work to find house at 3145 Lisa Lane ablaze. Upon arrival Hanning says firefighters found the living room on the second floor was on fire, leaving it heavily damaged and the rest of the house smoky. Hanning says Red Cross assistance wasn't needed, and instead the homeowner will be staying with family.
