Water will be shut down to customers in the northwest corner of downtown Zanesville on Wednesday, November 4th.

The Zanesville Water Department will be shutting down water Wednesday evening in a portion of the downtown area. We were told that surrounding areas may experience low water pressure or discolored water during this process. Monday we spoke to the Water Superintendent for the Department of Public Service; Paul Mills and he told us why this operation is happening.

The City of Zanesville says some water customers in the downtown will be out of water service Wednesday. Crews will be replacing 5 water values starting at 11 p.m. Water in the following area will be out of service until 7 a.m. Thursday. 4th Street to 7th Street and Canal Street to Main Street. The Muskingum County Water Department announces water will be shutoff Monday to customers on Melon Drive.

Officials says crews will be connecting new water lines in that area beginnning at around 8:30 a.m..

A boil advisory will be in effect once water is restored.

Customers should check water for discoloration before doing laundry.

 Zanesville City Schools announce two school closings. 

The district said the Zanesville Community High School and Zane Grey Elementary School both cancelled classes for Wednesday due to a water outage. 

As a result of the outage Zanesville Community High School will also move their commencement practice from Wednesday to noon on Thursday.

Some water customers in the village of Dresden will lose water service on Monday January 20th.  Village officials say if you live on Jody Drive or Adams Street you will lose service in the morning hours, weather permitting.   Officials say crews will be performing maintenance.

The City of Zanesville makes plans to shut off water to some of its customers Wednesday, December 18.

Water Superintendent Paul Mills said Underground Utilities Solutions will be lowering a water main for the City of Zanesville for a sewer project on Lincoln Street.

The work will begin at 8a.m. and be completed by 3:30p.m.

During the work the following areas will be without water.

Maysville Regional Water District will have crews working at the intersection of Greenhouse Road and Shaw Road on Monday, October 28th.  The intersection will close at 8:30 AM and reopen once the new water main has been connected to the existing lines.  Residents on Shaw Road, Darlington Drive, Yost Road, Tipton Lane, Holbert Lane, East Darlington Drive, Old Glory Drive, Orchard Park, Dennis Road and any side streets will be without water most of the day.  A boil advisory will...

Maysville Regional Water District will be working on the water line on Greenhouse Road, Wednesday, September 18th beginning at 7:00 A.M.  Residents on Greenhouse Road, Shaw Road, Darlington Drive, Tipton Lane, Yost Road, Holbert Lane, Dennis Road, Old Glory Drive and Orchard Park Condos will experience a loss of water.  A boil advisory will be in affect until further notice.

The Muskingum County Water Department will shut off water to some of its customers Thursday.

The water department said that shut off will begin at 8:30 a.m. and last until work is complete. Crews will be replacing a water valve. Once water is restored a boil advisory will be in effect.

Some Muskingum County residents are without water service Friday morning. Water Department Superintendent Don Madden says just before 7:00 a.m. calls came in from residents saying they lost water pressure or service. Madden say a large section of the eastern part of the county is affected. He says if you live east of the Muskingum River you are most likely having problems this morning.
