An area high school student was arrested Monday after authorities say she admitted to making a hit list.

According to the Licking County Sheriff's Office, a hit list was discovered Sunday at Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala. The writing in a stall of a girl's restroom read "3-7-12 Hit List." The list then named 10 female junior high school students.

What a way to open the boys basketball season. In a game that was thought to be a low posession, grind-it-out type affair, it proved to be anything but in Southtown tonight. The Maysville Panthers were determined tog et the ball up and down the floor, as Head Coach Todd Whiteman channeled his inner Paul Westhead. Zanesville 5 Lakewood 0

In Hebron the Blue Devil Soccer team used a strong offensvie out burst against the host Lancers in the win. Zanesville was paced by Doug Welker who scored four goals in the win while Payton Norris added two assists to help the Blue and White get to 3-2 on the season
