It may come as a surprise that it's the beginning of October considering Thursday's high reached almost 80 degrees. We caught up with the Y-City community to see how they're enjoying the last precious moments of fun in the sun.

While a few trees have taken notice of the calendar and begun their fall fun, people on the other hand, are simply still in summer bliss, which means the Genesis Fitness Trail is still bustling with walkers from the hospital and community. We caught up with dad...

The past week locals have been doing everything they can to take advantage of the fall-like conditions.

We all know this summer's weather has been far from normal, but before things heat up again we stopped by Zane's Landing to see how people feel about the cooler temperatures and what they have been doing in an effort to spend some time outside.

"Oh, I've loved it. It was so warm and humid prior to this that now we can open the windows at night and sleep with just a light...

The community was out and about celebrating the nice weather Sunday.

We made a visit to Zane's Landing Park to talk to the community about the sunshine and warm air. The responses were unanimous.

"Stephanie: I absolutely love it. I wish it was like this a month ago. Anthony: It could stay like this till Christmas."

"Marianne: I really love this weather. I've been looking forward to it all winter. We've been outside most of the day playing with the kids, doing...

A combination of warmer temperatures, heavy rain and snow cover could cause some flooding issues Tuesday and Wednesday.

Anyone in low lying areas or in a flood plain is being encouraged to stay on alert for rising water in the next few days. Cold temperatures have left the ground frozen, and any rain that falls or snow that melts will quickly run off the surface. Community Disaster Educator Martha Staley told us the organization is concerned about tomorrow's weather. With that in mind...

Sled riding, skiing, snowmen and golfing? One of these activities is something we don't normally see in December.

The unseasonably warm weather means good things for golfers. Golf enthusiasts flocked to Green Valley golf course Saturday to enjoy their favorite summer activity, in December. One golfer, Gary Minner, enjoys December golfing every year, but says the warm weather is welcomed.

"I don't think we've missed a December in what, the last ten years. Oh this is...

The anticipated cold air has finally arrived and many Southeast Ohio residents felt it has come too soon.

The average high is about 53 degrees for this time of the year, and the recent cool down has left temperatures about 20 degrees below normal. We talked to area residents about the weather Friday afternoon. Tyler Bay was hanging Christmas lights at Zane's Landing.

"It just came out of nowhere. Like, we didn't expect it. That's why we had to do all this. We've been in a...

It has been a cooler than normal summer for the Zanesville area through the June, July and August months.

The recent rise of heat and humidity has left many area residents wondering just when relief will be on the way. We visited the Morgan county fair Friday afternoon, and many people feel that the sticky weather is poor timing for the festivities. Linda Drake came to visit the fair and explained the weather isn't ideal.

"It's pretty bad for September. Much more pleasant...

The Ohio Department of Transportation is preparing for the worst, and with limited amounts of salt.

Right now trucks are being greased and pre-loaded in anticipation of Sunday's big storm. ODOT Manager, Phil Valentine, says the Muskingum County garage currently has 2,500 tons of salt left. While Valentine says 2,500 is a "survivable rate," he says they will continue to pace how much salt is used.

"Right now we're still salt on interstates but a lot of our...

Crews from the Muskingum County ODOT Garage will be working around the clock to prep roadways for the snow, ice, and rain mix that's expected to hit late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. ODOT Transportation Administrator, Phil Valentine, says shifts are being established and crews are pre-loading their trucks.

"This is gonna be one of those events it could go either way," said Valentine. "We could have high snowfall, ice, and either way it's a bad scenario. We'...

Ohio has already suffered through one polar vortex and it looks like a less deadly cold spell is on the way very soon.

Store Manager at the Downtown Riesbeck's, Rich Daugherty says that in the next week he expects an influx of customers due to upcoming weather conditions. He says the forecast can play a huge decision in people's shopping habits.

"Depending on how bad the weather is going to be and to what extent people panic and start buying some essentials so maybe if they...
