WHIZ is teaming up with one local organization to help save lives.

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, one local business is joining in the fight.

In partnership with WHIZ Media Group and Yuengling, Lucky's Bar raised $1,300 this October for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. On Monday, representatives from WHIZ, Yuengling, and Lucky's presented the organization with an honorary check. It was another successful year for the big "Lace Up For Kids" giveaway.

If you miss Z-92's Healthy Living segment in the morning, you can now find those tips at the bottom of our website, under station promotions. WHIZ Communications Manager, Sara Shallcross, said the new section covers a wide variety of relatable topics.

The Boy Scouts of America are honoring local businesses that have donated to the Capital Campaign. 

A gift of over $25,000 to the campaign earns membership into the National Second Century Society. The distinction shows gratitude toward organizations and people who help the B.S.A.

WHIZ partnered with the American Red Cross Monday for a blood drive.

There's nothing like starting the school year off with new gear and some local organizations are joining together to make sure area kids step off the school year in style.

Eastside Community Ministry, Wendy's and WHIZ are currently collecting shoes for this year's Lace Up for Kids Campaign. The goal is to get 1,000 pairs of shoes for students in need.

We've entered week two of our fitness challenge and the intensity is picking up. This week the WHIZ team lost 32 pounds and since the competition is heating up. It's time for me to get more serious about my workouts.

I spent the first week of my challenge working out without a fitness plan. I lost 1.36 percent of my starting weight. So, to help get me to my final goal and help the WHIZ team defeat the Muskingum Recreation Center's team, I met with a trainer.
