If you're traveling through downtown Zanesville, you can find another YMCA "Women of Achievement" recipient.

Jennifer Agin works at Wolfe, Wilson, and Phillips on 7th Street. She will be receiving the Mary Vashti Jones Funk Business Award. So, she decided to do some research on Jones.

"After I found out all the things that she did, I was thinkingi didn't deserve the award. She had done so many good things, " says Agin.

We now head to the John McIntire Library this week to highlight another YMCA "Women of Achievement" recipient.

Stacey Russell is the library's treasurer and has been a local resident her entire life. She says when Executive Director, Craig Miracle, notified her, she felt honored.

"I was very, very surprised. Craig called me, and I had no idea I was even nominated, " says Russell.

The YMCA is highlighting another one of its "Women of Achievement" recipients.

Keisha Norris is the second woman to be honored with the Ethel Granger Schultz Young Adult award. She says the honor has slowly been sinking in and she's had a lot of support from her family.

The 2010 Women of Achievement Awards Presentation, may be months away, but the the time to nominate area women for their work in the community is now.

"Don't wait to nominate even though the cutoff is the Feb. 19," said Craig Miracle of the YMCA. "There are a lot of deserving women out there, we'd love to see them early so that gives us an opportunity to get everything sorted out and in the hands of our selection committee. "

This is the 22nd year the Muskingum Family YMCA has held the women of achievement awards. The YMCA is currently taking nominations in several different areas.
