The 8th annual Y-Bridge Arts Festival kicked off Friday at Zane's Landing Park.
More than 60 visual artists from across the community and beyond filled the park with their one-of-kind pieces. Co-director, Linda Regula said the fun isn't just for the adults, the fest features an entire play area with face-painting and other activities for the kids.

Artists from all across the country will fill Zane's Landing Park this weekend for a popular Zanesville celebration.
One hundred artists will put their masterpieces on display this Friday and Saturday for the 8th annual Y-bridge Arts Festival. A wide range of art mediums will be for sale, including pottery and fine art.

The Y-Bridge Arts Festival is about nine months away, but planning has already begun.
The 2014 festival will be held at Zane's Landing. Co-director of the festival, Linda Regula, created the festival back in 2009. For the first three years it was held on the Y-Bridge, then in 2012 it was held at Zane's Landing and this past August, it was held at Colony Square Mall. Although the festival won't be on the bridge itself, Regula says she's happy it's back downtown.
The Y-Bridge Arts Festival is at Colony Square Mall this year and more than 50 artists started setting up their booths to get ready for this weekends big show.
"We started setting up around 10 o'clock," said Becky Joseph, a co-chair for the festival. "We're gonna set up until 4. People started coming even earlier then 10 o'clock. They're very excited and we're feeling a lot of positive energy at the festival this year."
With construction near the Y-Bridge, the always anticipated art festival will be held at Colony Square Mall this weekend.
"We've kind of tag lined it this year as the, 'Until We Return to the Bridge Festival.' Performers and artists have filled Zane's Landing Park.
