Campus Safety Days at the Ohio University Zanesville and Zane State campus ended Tuesday afternoon with a female safety session.

 The Zane State College Foundation celebrated 28 years of teeing off for scholarships this afternoon.

The 28th Annual Drive for Excellence Golf Outing took place at the Zanesville Country Club. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit students with significant financial needs, some of whom are first generation college students.

In 2012 Ohio passed a law banning texting while driving, but nearly two years later it remains a serious problem. Whiz's Courtney Wheaton tells us about the latest effort to drive home the message that texting while driving is unacceptable.

As part of the ongoing OUZ Zane State Public Safety Week, campus safety addressed students and staff about how to deal with an active killer situaton through ALICE  training.

It is mandatory for every employee on the OUZ campus to attend ALICE training at some point within their first year. Zane State has promoted it in classrooms and has even held open sessions.

The Zanesville Police Department Special Response Team spoke to students at OUZ and Zane State for Public Safety Week.
