A special certification training took place at the Ohio University Zanesville- Zane State Campus on Friday.

The Public Safety Department at the college hosted an ALICE Institute training session to teach visitors how to protect themselves in an active shooter situation. Members from the organization taught visitors how to use different safety defense procedures to save their lives.

A merging of cultures took place at Zane State college on Friday.

The college held its 22nd Annual Ethnic Food Fair in the memory and celebration of Martin Luther King Junior's life and legacy. The Cultural Outreach Coordinator for the event says that she thinks Doctor King would be proud.
