Fifth grade students in three different state become part of a project to keep them working hard even when it gets tough.

Zanesville City Schools are working with the community to help students read.

Project MORE stands for Mentoring in Ohio for Reading Excellence. The scientifically based program shows that students make reading level gains when they have a one-to-one mentor working with them in reading.

Summer vacation is coming to a close and Wednesday many students will head back to Zanesville High School.

Zanesville City School officials are offering a cash reward for information leading to the capture of vandals who are targeting the district.

Student Services Director Kevin Appleman said over the last month, two windows at Zanesville Middle School and three truck windows at a maintenance building were smashed.

Zanesville City Schools are once again operating their summer lunch program.

Lunch will be available at no cost each weekday beginning Monday, June 11th, through August 10th. Except Wednesday, July 4th and Thursday, July 5th.

The school shooting in Chardon brings up the question of how schools prepare in the event of such a tragedy...It's rare but it does happen.

Winter weather slows down the morning commute.

Snow started falling around Southeastern Ohio around 6:30a.m. Wednesday morning, causing cars to slip and slide along the roadways. Since the winter system hit later in the morning many school buses were already out on the roadways.
