The 19th Annual Taste of Color was held at the Zanesville Civic League Community Center.

Dozens of people met at the center to celebrate black history and diversity. During the program there was dancing, inspirational speeches and awards given out to good doers from the local area. The first ever Robert Tidco Award was presented on Saturday.

The 18th annual "Taste of Color" was held at the Zanesville Civic League Community Center on Saturday. Over 100 people gathered together to eat lunch in honor of Black History Month. Residents were able to sample different types of American and ethnic food all while enjoying entertainment from the Jazz Impulse Band and by the Civic League Junior Dance Group.

Every penny counts for the Zanesville Civic League this week...

The donations are coming in for the "Pennies at Work" fundraiser taking place to raise money for the league's after school programs. Executive Director Howard Stewart said students from the programs are rolling up their sleeves and getting involved.

The Zanesville Civic League hopes a small donation will turn into big dollars for their organization.

Next week the Zanesville Civic League will accept donations of pennies in hopes of covering half of their gym floor, in a program called, "Pennies at Work." The money raised will go towards supporting after school programs, their REACH program that helps students at Zanesville Middle School and their basketball league, among others.

Kids and teenagers in Muskingum County have the opportunity to experience the thrill of being a basketball star.

People of all races and nationalities came out Saturday afternoon for A Taste of Color.

Around 200 people filled the gym at the Zanesville Civic League Community Center Saturday afternoon for A Taste of Color. This is the 15th year for the event that features a variety of African-American foods and other foods from around the world. Twenty-one students from local schools also won awards for their art, poetry or essays on diversity.

Santa's workshop moved from the North Pole to right here in Zanesville.

More than a hundred children could have doubled as Santa's elves as they made presents for their friends and families. This is the second year for Santa's Workshop sponsored by the Zanesville Civic League.
