The friendly rivalry between two local schools is the basis for a fundraiser at Zanesville Country Club.

Monday was the 2nd annual Battle of the B's Fundraiser that raises money for the golf teams at both Zanesville High School and Bishop Rosecrans.The two B's in the title stand for Blue Devils and Bishops, and one team will be able to say they are the victors once the game is over.

Coconis Furniture held their annual Tee It Up Fore Autism Golf Tournament at the Zanesville Country Club on Monday. The Coconis family started the tournament four years ago as a way to give back to local families.

The annual Genesis Pro Am golf tournament wrapped up at the Zanesville Country Club Sunday.

This is the 32nd year of the tournament, which featured more than one-hundred golfers.

It was as close to a forgone conclusion as you could get in the golf world, but Chase Wilson couldn't relax on the final day of the Zanesville District Golf Association Tournament.

He entered the final round at the Zanesville Country Club with a huge lead but still had his sights on one prize, all four rounds in the 60s. The Ohio Oil and Gas Association is holding its annual meeting in Zanesville over the next two days.

Hundreds of attendees including many new members spent the morning hitting the links at the Zanesville Country Club while networking and discussing the trade.

Executive Vice President Tom Stewart said the jump in new membership can be attributed to the development of shale drilling and that the organization is aiming to keep the benefits and rewards in the area.
