On Saturday afternoon, the first round of the 36th Zanesville District Golf Association Amateur is set to begin at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette.  Defending champion Jesse Wilkin highlights a stellar field of amateurs looking to make more history.  The following are tee times for the first day of play on Saturday.  A link to second day tee times is provided to the left of the story under the title, "ZDGA Tee Times"

With a birdie on his final hole, the par-3 18th, Jim Spargrove overtook Don Denman to win his fourth Zanesville Seniors' Classic on Wednesday afternoon at Zanesville Country Club.  Spargrove is the first back-to-back winner of the event since Norman Ogilvie completed the feat in 2007 and 2008.  After a front nine 36, Spargrove came home in 33, adding birdies on the par-3 12th and par-4 16th to go with his birdie on the 18th.  Rick Macklin, who along with Spargrove...

On a hot Tuesday morning, the best senior golfers from around the state competed in the first round of the 48th Annual Zanesville Seniors' Classic at Zanesville Country Club.  A tough course setup and muggy conditions made scoring difficult, as not a single player shot in the 60s.  However, Don Denman capitalized on his scoring opportunities, shooting a two under par 70 to take a one shot lead over defending champion Jim Spargrove and Circleville native Rick Macklin. ...

Area women golfers are helping send young women to college while enjoying food, friendship and fun.

The Zane State College Foundation presented the 4th Annual "Afternoon Tee" Golf Outing at Zanesville Country Club this afternoon.  All the proceeds provide scholarships for female students to attend Zane State.

A three-day golf outing will support local heart patience.

The 31st annual Genesis Pro-Am teed-off Friday at Zanesville Country Club. In past years the event has helped support a variety of Genesis services. Last year the focus was cancer, this year proceeds will benefit cardiac services.

The Zanesville Country Club is selling its merchandise for 70% off to help a charitable organization.

Mike Durant, the Head Golf Professional at the country club, says all a person has to do to get the discount is bring in three or more items to donate to the Eastside Community Ministry. The country club has been holding this sale since December 1st and Durant says people often bring in 10 or more items to donate.
