The Zanesville Fire Department is investigating a natural gas leak on the north end of Zanesville.
The call came in just before noon Wednesday that a construction crew working in the area of Northpointe and Colony Hills struck a gas line. Crews were able to find the leak and shut off the gas without incident..

The annual fundraiser benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association, an organization dedicated to helping people who suffer from neuromuscular diseases. The money raised also gives kids the opportunity to go to camp, have wheelchairs and any other changes they might need in the home.

Fire Chief Kevin Thomas announced that they have filled the two open spots, bringing their total to 52 fire fighters.
"We've just brought two new members on to our fire department. Brady Bragg started in orientation period two weeks ago and today is his first full day on shift. Ben Morehouse, today is his first day and Monday he'll be starting at the state fire academy," said Fire Chief, Kevin Thomas.
