 460 gymnastics came to the Muskingum County Rec. Center for a two day long meet.

The Zanesville Gymnastics hosted their 3rd Annual meet this weekend, where nearly 15 teams from Ohio and West Virginia competed. This event is where some of the top gymnast in Ohio come to compete.

Zanesville Gymnastics is holding it's second annual invitational meet Saturday and Sunday at the Muskingum Recreation Center.

Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for children and children under 5 years old are free.

A local gymnast travels to Chicago and brings home the gold.

Ten-year-old fifth grader from Maysville Elementary, Anna Devolld competed this past weekend at the Chicago Style Meet . She represented Zanesville Gymnastics and won the first all around for her competition level.

" Well it was a really big competition there was over 4,000 girls there, I almost cried when I got up there," said Devolld.

Its the dream of many young athletes to compete in the Olympics, the younger they start the better chances they have.

Most of the gymnasts at Zanesville Gymnastics started training before they even started kindergarten. Their dedication to the sport exceeds those of athletes twice their age.

"I know a lot of it, they give up a lot. Gymnastics takes up a lot of time. Especially here, school's starting in a few weeks and it's back to they've got to get up early, go to school...
