Zanesville City Schools adds two new principals to its roster as the school year approaches.
The Zanesville City School Board named Garry Young as their next principal at Zanesville High School. Young comes from Union High School and is a graduate of Chillicothe High School and Ohio University. He also served as a band director and music teacher at East Knox prior to his work at Union Local.

Eight extraordinary Zanesville High School Alums were celebrated on Saturday for their accomplishments after graduation.
Last night Ruth Federman, the late Bob Rankin, Todd Rollins, Jeff Apperson, the late Rolland Buxton, Mike Kaido, Kaye Matthews, and Don Seevers all received awards for their contributions to athletics or academics. The Zanesville football team has alot to be thankful for this November. The Devils have rolled off 13 straight victories, captured an ECOL championship, and advanced to the State Final Four for just the second time in school history. Despite all the hype, the Devils are business as usual this week, and most of all, thankful for the opportunity.
