CROOSKVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) - The Crooksville Police Chief says a medical condition may have been to blame for the death of 26-year-old Kayla Barnett. Public information officer Jill DeLgreco says they're calling it a questionable death due to suspicious bruises found on Barnett's boday, at this point there's no clear cut cause.
The resignation of Mike Jacoby has left the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority without an executive director.

During the month of September the Port Authorities and Chamber of Commerce for Muskingum and Guernsey Counties conducted a survey to determine to extent of the reported shortage of skilled workers.

If all goes according to plan a new apartment complex will soon take shape on Northpointe Drive.
At a special meeting Tuesday, the Port Authority entered into an agreement to sell just over 20 acres of land for $408,000 to Northpointe Reserve LLC. The company made up of two entities from North Carolina plans to use the land to build medium to high end apartments.
The Port Authority's Executive Director said Zanesville currently has a 99 percent occupancy rate.
After a couple of tests on the roadway at Eastpointe Industrial Park, the problem that plagues the road still remains a mystery.

On Wednesday, the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority Board authorized executive director Mike Jacoby to enter into a concession agreement with Savage Safe Handling, a rail transloader company. Jacoby says Savage Safe Handling will develop relationships with other companies and charge them to move product by railway and truck.
