The Century National Bank on Maysville Pike was robbed Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly after 2:30 PM, the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office and Zanesville Police Department responded to the branch near Clay Street where a man with a weapon robbed the bank. The City of Zanesville is hosting a fundraiser for our four legged members of the Zanesville Police Department.

Police say drugs are likely to blame for a two vehicle accident in Zanesville that sent two women to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

It happened just before 4:30 p.m. on Linden Avenue, near AK Steel.

The Zanesville Police Department is asking you to stay alert during a recent influx of car break-ins.

Captain Tony Coury says the crime has been occurring around apartment complexes on the north end of town. Coury says it's not really a generalized area, but more so hit and miss. Coury says they don't currently have a suspect.

The Zanesville Police Department has made multiple arrests in a home invasion investigation. 

The incident under question occurred around 6:15 p.m. on April 17. Chief Kenneth Miller said two men broke into the residence at 409 1/2 Mead Street. He said they then took charge of seven people inside the residence who ranged in age from two years old and up.

The Zanesville Police Department is investigating multiple shots being fired in Zanesville. 

Officers responded to the area of 621 South Street around 10:00 p.m. Sunday. Lieutenant Chris Rice confirmed that multiple shots were fired and one person was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. Rice said the victim is a male around 30 years old and was conscious when he was transported.

It's been over three decades since the Zanesville Police Department has gotten a different color uniform, but that changed Wednesday.

The police department rolled out its new, dark blue uniforms Wednesday morning. Captain Tony Coury said the officers wanted a change. Night officers wanted the new uniforms to be able to blend in a little better and the dark uniforms are also cheaper.
