One man was sent to the hospital following a shooting Thursday night in the 1500 block of Ridge Avenue.

It happened in an alley off of Ridge around 9:30 p.m.   According to Sgt. Jon McCoy of the Zanesville Police Department, one male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the torso. He was alive when first responders arrived and was transported to Genesis Hospital by Community Ambulance. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time.

An accident Thursday morning on Interstate 70 is causing a traffic slow down. 

Around 2:25 am scanner traffic indicated a semi had rolled over on I-70 west near the Fieldhouse. 

The right lane of I-70 west will be closed as the semi is towed and clean-up begins by the Ohio Department of Transportation.

A Zanesville man is facing charges in the shooting on Liberty St. near the Canteen Bar early Saturday morning.

Clarence E. Davis has been charged with three counts of Felonious Assault with a Firearm Specification and one count of Discharging at or into a Habitation with a Firearm Specification. The charges follow a shooting that wounded three people.

 A hit and run accident left live power lines down on Putnam Ave. Wednesday afternoon.

Patrolman Derek Shilling with the Zanesville Police Department said a white male with a beard was driving a silver SUV northbound on Putnam went left of center off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The Zanesville Police Department is releasing new footage of a suspect who robbed the Subway on North 7th Street Wednesday night.

The man is described as being a 6-foot tall, thin, white male with tattoos on his arms and face, wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans.

Zanesville police are investigating a robbery at the Subway on North 7th Street.

It happened around 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Sgt. Jon McCoy says the man, who was not armed, entered the store and demanded money. He says only one employee was in the store at the time of the robbery.

McCoy says the suspect got into a car that was parked in the back of the building and drove away.

A description of the suspect was not immediately available.

The Zanesville Police Department has released new details into a multi-vehicle accident that sent several people to the hospital Thursday night.

Captain Tony Coury said around 6:40 p.m. ZPD was dispatched to Maple Avenue for a multi-vehicle injury accident. Upon arrival, officers discovered that five vehicles were involved.

For the second night in a row, authorities in Zanesville responded to reports of a shooting.

Around 9:15 p.m. scanner traffic indicated shots had been fired near the area of Shinnick and Orchard Streets.  Further scanner traffic indicated that a subject had been shot at, but it is believed that person was not hit.  That person then ran to a residence in the 800 block of Orchard street.

The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a reported shooting Tuesday night on Luck Avenue.

Around 8:15 p.m. authorities received multiple 911 calls in reference to shots fired in the 800 block of Luck Avenue.

Scanner traffic indicated that shots were fired out of a black vehicle as it drove by the area.

Fortunately, no one was hit by the shots and no injuries are reported.
