Its not uncommon to have a repair person knock on your door when they're expected but when one stops by unannounced, a homeowner's guard should go up.

A rollover crash in downtown Zanesville sends one person to the hospital Thursday.

Around 5 p.m. a black Nissan and gray Jeep Liberty collided at the intersection of 7th and Main Streets.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. The driver of the Jeep, which rolled onto its' top, was uninjured.

Zanesville Police say they're unsure of who was at fault and are still investigating.

Those working this labor day were recognized for their service.

Olive Garden delivered free lunch to the Zanesville Police Department as part of "Hospitaliano". Those who work in an operation that is open twenty-four hours, seven days a week were very grateful for the free meal and recognition.

There has been a rash of vehicle break-ins in our area. Zanesville police want to offer tips so you won't become the next victim.

The break-ins occurred at several restaurants around Zanesville and south Zanesville in the middle of the afternoon. According to Captain Tony Coury of the Z.P.D. vehicle break-ins occur frequently during the summer months.

An altercation in Zanesville sends one person to the hospital.

Zanesville Police said the incident took place in the old Dryden IGA parking lot around 12:30 Tuesday morning.

Lt. Chris Phipps said that they were originally called the scene for a traffic accident and a smoking car.

When they got there they found there had been a fight in the parking lot.

He said one man was trying to get into a vehicle when he was hit by a second vehicle, which drug him.

A Catholic priest placed on administrative leave last week by the Columbus Diocese won't face charges in Muskingum County. He served in Zanesville over 40 years ago and is being accused of sexual misconduct with a minor.

A Zanesville man who authorities said cut the throat of his girlfriend's dog entered a plea in municipal court, Tuesday.

32-year-old Justin Smith pled "no contest" to a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.

Municipal Court Judge Bill Joseph then sentenced Smith to 240 days in jail, 180 on the animal cruelty and 60 days for resisting arrest. He was also ordered to pay a fine.

Two brothers are dead after a semi crashes into the State Street Bridge Friday morning.

The Zanesville Police Department said the accident took place around 8:15 at the State Street entrance ramp to Interstate 70 east.

Authorities say a meth lab was discovered Wednesday evening at a Zanesville home.

According to Lieutenant Chris Rice with the Zanesville Police Department, officers were first called 1234 Melrose Avenue around 7 p.m. because of a fight.

The State Highway Patrol and local law enforcement are preparing to hit the road this holiday weekend.

The patrol will be working with local agencies, including the Zanesville Police Department and the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office to patrol for speed on the ground and in the sky.

Zanesville Post Commander, Steven Rine of the State Highway Patrol said just because you don't see law enforcement on the road, doesn't mean that your speed isn't being monitored.
