The Zanesville Police Department says business and 911 lines are back up and running.

The department lost all phone service after an accident that occurred around 11:00 a.m. Thursday. EMA Director Bo Keck said a Columbia Gas Company crew was doing some work and accidentally severed all phone lines to the Zanesville Police Department, including 911.

The Zanesville Police Department responded to an injury accident around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon. 

According to the ZPD multiple people have been transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment after an apparent head on collision. A green Trailblazer and a black Equinox were the only cars involved in the accident at the intersection of State and Jackson Streets. A driver running from authorities flipped his car earlier Tuesday evening in front of Zane State College.

The incident happened around 6:08 p.m. as an officer from the Zanesville Police Deparmtent attempted to pull over a driver with expired plates. Police said they had been watching the vehicle and attempted to pull it over as it left a residence. The driver did not comply with officers and began to flee out of town toward Dillon State Park on State Route 146.

A call for a 3 car injury accident was reported at 6:30PM Saturday evening.

According to SGT. Jon McCoy of the Zanesville Police Department, a dark colored Jeep in the left turn lane of Maple Avenue, attempted to make a left hand turn from northbound Maple onto Brandywine Boulevard. The Jeep turned in front of a red truck which then struck a silver 4 door sedan.

Zanesville Police are investigating a stabbing incident Wednesday.

It happened at the Cashland on Maple Avenue just after 2PM. LT Bill Shaw says the victim, who is from Perry County, told police he recently reported that he had some tools stolen. Today he encountered two men in Cashland trying to pawn his stolen tools and a confrontation occurred. Shaw says one of the men pulled a knife and cut the victim on the hand. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of the minor...

A man was taken into custody early on New Year's Day at Putnam Tavern.

Captain Doug Merry with the Zanesville Police Department says officers responded to the tavern around 1:30 a.m. after reports of a fight.  The altercation apparently started inside and moved outside.  According to Captain Merry, an officer chased 23-year-old Anthony Dale McBride of Zanesville back into the bar.  He was then taken into custody.

 A house fire occurred at 116 Luck Avenue in Zanesville Wednesday evening.

Zanesville Police are investigating a crash that occured early Saturday morning at the intersection of Dresden and Military Roads. Officers were pursuing a stolen Chevy Silverado 1500 when the car drove through an intersection stricking a Chevy Malibu. The Malibu rolled and landed upright.  A girl was struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon near Zanesville Middle School.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. near the intersection of Blue and Forest Avenue. According to the Zanesville Police Department, the girl was attempting to cross Blue Avenue when she was hit by a red sedan heading northbound on Blue.

The vehicle appeared to have hit her legs, and ZPD said she was transported by Community Ambulance to the hospital with minor, non-life threatening injuries. The girl...
