The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a shooting at 524 Ball Street.
The shooting took place around 2:30 Sunday morning. Zanesville Police Chief Kenneth Miller said 28-year-old William Hampton sustained a single gun shot wound to his ankle and foot area. Police received reports from people in the area at the time of the shooting.

Police said the driver of a white Chevy pickup truck made an illegal left hand turn and struck the scooter. The truck then fled the scene.
