You may remember earlier this week when we told you about helicopter flyover in Muskingum county. It was for marijuana.

A man was rescued from the Muskingum River Wednesday afternoon.

The call came at around 5:15PM when someone spotted the man floating in the river. Zanesville Fire Department Lieutenant, Doug Hobson says they pulled him from the water just in time.

Here's a follow up on the armed robbery that took place at a Maple Avenue Huntington Bank ATM this weekend.

Two subjects approached a vehicle at gunpoint Saturday and demanded money from those inside it on Saturday. According to the Chief of the Zanesville Police Department, Kenneth Miller, the charges of the suspects  involved were released Monday.

With some area schools starting back up Monday and many more starting later this week, it's important to take caution while driving.

With school buses out more frequently and many students in the cross walk areas, drivers need to be aware of the laws and keep an extra eye out.  Sgt. Andy Armstrong with the Zanesville Police Department said they'll be monitoring the 20 miles per hour school zones to make sure drivers are obeying the slower speed limit.

Two Newark women were sent to the hospital following an accident near the Y-Bridge Monday afternoon.

According to police, the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when a Chevy Lumina that was heading toward the Y-Bridge on West Main Street went off the left side of the roadway, through a grass field at a high rate of speed, and crashed over the emankment of the river.  The vehicle flipped several times before coming to rest right beside the river.

A former Zanesville Police Captain was laid to rest at Mount Olive Cemetery this afternoon.

William Clark was 82 years old and recently lost his battle to a brief illness. Chief of the Zanesville Police Department, Kenneth Miller, has known Clark since 1980. Miller says that the work Clark carried out while working with the police, made him an important member of the community.

The Zanesville Police Department goes with a new look for their patrol vehicles.

Zanesville Police said they're investigating an accidental shooting that took place at a local car dealership.

Lt. Chris Phipp's said an ambulance was dispatched to Jeff Drennen's on Maple Avenue for an unknown hand injury around 3:22 p.m. Tuesday.

Phipps said when the ambulance arrived they called police to inform them the injury was actually a self inflicted gunshot wound to the hand.

We told you Wednesday about a missing bull in Muskingum County that was freed when a vehicle crashed into a power pole on Wayne Avenue at Arcadia.

The crash allowed the animal to escape from the trailer.

Well, that bull is still on the loose and was spotted just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday. Zanesville Police said a motorist at first thought they were seeing a horse walking in the middle of Wayne Avenue until the driver realized it was in fact the missing bull.
