A body found partially submerged in the 6th Street Canal has been identified.
Zanesville Police Captain Tony Coury said that the body is that of 61-year-old Edward Swick of Zanesville.

An accident early Friday morning sends one man to the hospital.
Zanesville Police Lt. Bill Shaw said that 24-year-old Dennis Carter was traveling north on Pine Street in a black Yukon when he went off the road in the Echo Avenue area and struck a pole around 2:30 a.m.
He then struck the steps and handrail of a church and overturned.
Carter was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.
