As we head further into the fall season, Public Service Director Jay Bennett urges Zanesville citizens to take a look at the 2015 Leaf Collection Schedule.

Bennett also asks for the public's help in keeping leaves out of the roadways, which presents larger problems for the street department.

The Zanesville Municipal Airport will soon see some improvements. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown says a grant for just under 122-thousand dollars will be used to help increase efficiency and safety at the facility. The funds are coming from the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration. Brown says the funds will give Muskingum County the resources to make needed improvements that will benefit those that rely on the local airport and its services.

Crews will begin resuracing Center Drive in Zanesville beginnning Friday.

The project is expected to be completed on Saturday, weather permitting.

The road will remain closed to through traffic during the resurfacing project.

The Muskingum County/Zanesville City Joint Drug Task Force, Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Muskingum County Prosecutor's Office continues to make progress in the fight against drugs this summer.

Zanesville city officials announce a portion of Linden Avenue will be closed Wednesday.

The road will be closed to traffic from the Y-Bridge to McIntire Avenue for pavement resurfacing.

The work will take place weather permitting.

Motorists should use an alternate route.
