One local theater is providing some entertainment for the public.

Zane Trace Players put on a production of  To Kill a Mockingbird at the Renner in downtown Zanesville on Sunday. Director Rich Tolliver said he selected this play because it's a classic story and is still socially relevant.

Two people are seriously injured in an early morning crash on Saturday that temporarily shut down part of Maple Avenue in Zanesville.

Sergeant Chris Rice with the Zanesville Police Department said it happened around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Brown Street.

The City of Zanesville Water Department is currently working to repair a 10-inch water main that broke this morning at Hall Avenue and Malinda Street.

The following street is closed at this time:

Hall Avenue from Underwood Street to Gattrell Street. There will be access to the sale barn and the post office using Underwood Street only.

The following areas will experience low pressure or be without water:

Lewis Drive Area

Granger Street Area

It took them 27 years but John Glenn finally earned a victory in the regional tournament. The Muskies who had just bounced #2 Carrollton shocked the world again by ending #6 Chillicothe's season. The Muskies got an outstanding offensive performance from Jake Heagen, and they also played well on the defensive end to hold the Cavaliers to a season low 12-point first half. The Muskies will now move on and face Bishop Hartley for the Regional Championship on Saturday back at the Convo.

The Zanesville City Water Department is continuing to deal with projects around the area.

Last week, crews discovered a collapsed pipe beneath Brandywine Boulevard near Colony Square Mall. An engineer from the pipe manufacturer is coming in on Thursday to assess the actual damage.

"They have the equipment and the ability and knowledge to go in and evaluate the rest of that culvert structurally to make sure that we don't have issues with maintaining traffic flow on Brandywine...

Boy Scout Troop 128 of Zanesville is hosting a scrap metal drive March 19th through April 4th to help raise funds to send its members to summer camp in June.

Zaneville's Police Athletic League is hosting the 2011 Lucky Gloves Boxing Competition this Saturday, and it's sure to draw crowds.

There will be 22 matches with boxers traveling in from several states. Featured athletes include Travis Jerig of Zanesville and Jake Harper of Frazeysburg; both have competed at the national level and hold several titles.

The Southeastern Ohio Paranormal Investigators presented evidence of paranormal activity to the public Thursday night at Zak's Restaurant in downtown Zanesville.

The building was constructed in 1893 and has only been owned by two families: the Wiles and the Zakanys.
