It was deja vu for Zanesville Friday night at Winland Gymnasium. Just like on Tuesday, the Blue Devils took a 12 point lead into halftime. That, however, is where the similarites to a few nights ago ended. Instead of coming out sluggish, the Blue Devils kept their foot on the gas, leading to a dismantling of the Parkersburg South Patriots, final score 66-52. Tanner Gibson led the way for Zanesville, scoring 25 points, including 5 of 7 from three point range. Raheem Foreman was the only other...

After taking a 29-17 lead into half, the Zanesville Blue Devils recorded their first loss of the season, after shooting only 22% in the second half, and getting outscored by Westerville Central 35-12 in the second half for a 52-41 loss. Tanner Gibson led the way for Zanesville with 14 points, with nine of those points coming in the second quarter. Foul trouble was a problem for two Blue Devils, as Allen Harris and Raheem Foreman combined for more fouls (9) than they did points (5, all from...

The Zanesville Water Department is responding to a water main break near the intersection of West Main Street and Pine Street.

It happened around 5:30 a.m.

Police scanners indicated water could be seen spewing up through Muskingum Avenue.

Employees say it's an eight inch pipeline that's broken, and it's forcing a road closure on Pine Street from West Main Street to Muskingum Avenue.

They say the break is expected to be fixed by late afternoon.

On a Monday night at Winland gymnasium, there was good news and bad news for the Zanesville lady Blue Devils. The bad news? They failed to score 60 at home for the first time this year at home. The good news? They still won. Thanks to a late fourth quarter push where they made visiting Dublin Jerome play the whole floor, Zanesville netting a 10 point victory, 44-34, after the score was tied at 16 at halftime. Freshman Shiloh Murphy scored a game high 14 points.
