ZANESVILLE, Ohio - Sunday marks day two of the Largest Heavy-Duty Emergency Cross Training in Ohio.

On Thursday, June 23rd, the Zanesville Fire Department will be flushing hydrants within the general area of Brandywine Blvd., Colony Square Mall, Sam’s Club, Lowes and all side streets in the area.

 Flushing will be from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Residents in these areas may experience discolored water and reduced pressure.

Crews will be flushing  within the general area of Athena Ln., Brandywine Pl., Pfeifer Dr., Fairway Ln. and all side streets in the area.

Hydrant flushing will take place within the general area of Fulton Street, Jackson Street, Licking Road, Licking View, West Main Street, State Street and all side streets.

**Update** The scene is now clear and State Route 93 is back open following the gas leak in the Crooksville late Friday evening.

According to Zanesville Assistant Fire Chief David Huey there were two leaks reportedly from the same line at Watt Hill Road. Columbia Gas as well as Roseville, Crooksville, New Lexington, South Zanesville, and Zanesville Fire Departments responded to the leak.  Fire crews responded to a house fire at 151 south 7th St. in downtown Zanesville.

The Zanesville Fire Department was called out at 12:15 Thursday afternoon. Fire Chief, Eric Waltemire said the two-story home was fully involved in flames when crews had arrived and it took them nearly an hour to get it contained. Community ambulance, and Falls Township Fire-Department were also on scene.

 A structure fire on Pine Street  remains under investigation on Sunday.

Zanesville Fire Department Assistant Chief Doug Hobson said crews received the call just before midnight Saturday for a structure fire at 726 Pine Street.

"Upon arrival they completed a search and found the building completely unoccupied and found no utilities connected", which Hobson said does make the fire suspicious in nature.

 The Zanesville Fire Department said a fire on the corner of Brighton and Ridge Ave. Sunday night remains under investigation but were able to provide preliminary details.

The Zanesville Fire Department responded to the call just after 10 p.m. that evening and Chief Waltemire said the blaze was located on the first level of the house. There appeared to be a lot of smoke, but Waltemire said it only took about ten minutes to control.
