 Zanesville High School wrapped up the 2014-2015 academic year May 29.

The school was quiet as seniors already took their victory lap early last week. The remaining students used the day to finish up exams and last minute projects. Principal Garry Young is especially excited to wrap up his first year at ZHS.

Students enrolled in the Muskingum Valley New Tech Academy hosted a Community Health Fair at Zanesville High School on Saturday.

More than a dozen local health organizations were on display. Each booth specialized in a different aspect of healthy living. Visitors could get their blood pressure checked, win prizes and much more.

An area school's students learn how quickly what should be a happy time can turn into one of tragedy.

The Zanesville High School's Students Against Destructive Decisions hosted a mock accident for their peers. The two car crash involved their classmates, who had been out partying just moments before.

There will be a community pep rally at Sulsberger Stadium at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night to wish the 12-0 Blue Devils good luck at this Friday's third-round playoff game against New Albany. Zanesville High School Principal Mark Ulbrich says the pep rally is a way to recognize the team's hard work and show the players how much support they have from the community.

Zanesville High School now has something other than their new building to brag about.

A full colored digital wireless sign is now up and running in front of the building. The 8x10 foot sign is meant to showcase academic achievements, sporting events and every day happenings at the building.

The anticipation is finally over.

Students met at the new Zanesville High School for orientation Thursday afternoon; everyone was excited to see the final result.

"This was a very big week, I know the construction workers were excited that we passed all of the safety tests, we know that the building is not all the way done, but we are able to occupy it, the construction workers will be with us for some time to come," said ZHS Principal Mark Ulbrich.

All that's left of the old Zanesville High School is one wall and a huge pile of rubble.

People are still gathering in the parking lot across the street, looking at the demolition and trying to hold onto a piece of history. Earl Gadd currently lives a few streets over and was out taking pictures Monday morning.
