is a fundraising dinner and auction to help fund the rebuilding of the Sherman Cannon in Lancaster that will be hosted by William McKinley Camp 21, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. THe event is set for Saturday, October 23rd beginning at 6pm at the Eagles Lodge, 1936 East Main Street, in Lancaster. The cost is $35 per person.
Cash bar and silent auction begin at 6 with dinner at 7. Guest speaker General William Tecumseh Sherman (portrayed by Mr. Frank Bullock) will talk of his experiences at the Battle of Shiloh.

New Stratisville Alumni Association will be holding a bake sale on Saturday, October 9th from 10am-2pm. They will be located at the corner of Main and Clark Streets in New Straitsville, in front of the United Methodist Chruch. There will be home made bread, pies, cakes, cookies, browies and fudge. All proceeds will benefit the New Straitsville Alumni Association.

The West Muskingum Middle School 8th grade spaghetti dinner will be held on Friday, October 15th-prior to the home game vs. Morgan. Dinner will be served in the high school auditeria from 4-7pm. Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door. Carry-out is also availalbe. This is a fund raiser for the class trip to Washington D.C.
