Muskingum County Coordinator for 'Toys for Tots,' Opal Lambert, said last year the program distributed more than 5,000 toys to underprivileged children in Muskingum County.
To donate to 'Toys for Tots,' there will be a drive-thru drop-off November 7, at North Valley Bank on Maple, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. If you can't make it, the bank will also be accepting donations, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 as well.

On Sunday, November 8 at 2pm, living historian, Chris Hart will present a program at the Stone Academy historic site and museum entitled "Portraying Historical Figures-Imparting Knowledge, Engaging Imagination". His talk will focus on the process of interpreting the past by taking on the persona of an actual historical figure, and his methods used to create the Zane Grey character and others. Entry fee includes poker hand payout, a spaghetti dinner at Philo firehouse, fire dept donation, and another drawing. Starting point will be 2965 Darlington Drive, Zanesville. Dinner will be from 1-3:00pm. Ride is approximately 50 miles, with some public stops along the way. Ride will end up back at starting point for more festivities!
