Virginia Marie Spinks Grandstaff (July 2, 1918 – October 25, 2014)

Virginia Marie Spinks Grandstaff, 96 went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday October 25, 2014 at Genesis Hospice surrounded by her family.
She was born July 2, 1918 in Zanesville to the late Edward C. and Georgia Collopy Spinks. . She was employed as a Nanny for many years to several area families. She lived for her family and loved life, especially riding a four wheeler at the age of 93 up and down hills with her buddy Bob McFee.
Virginia loved her Jesus, and she led both of her husbands to Him. She was an example to others without fail attending Church on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening, often calling others to join her congregation at Norval Park Church of Christ. She contributed her long life to God. She started everyday praising Jesus and would always say “ God loves me and you.”
Virginia was a very caring person who spent time making decorations like wreaths for Christmas, cookies for Valentine’s Day, and Easter baskets for Easter to pass out in Nursing homes so she could see the residents smile.
She is survived by her sister Norma Jean Willis, granddaughters; Donna McFee and Brook McFee, best buddy Bob McFee, special friend Jim Strauss, two grandsons; Rick (Trina) McFee and Rob (Tammy) McFee, Five great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands William Boyce and Floyd Grandstaff, and five brothers Jimmy, Robert, Elmer, Donald, and Edward.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Monday October 27 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12pm (Noon) in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Rod Stockdale and Pastor Keith Kress officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
