Hey what’s up, Z-Nation?
I’m Chris Sparks, the host of The Morning Rush- weekdays from 6am-noon. I absolutely love everything about the radio industry. I have been a native of New Concord since 1993. I started my radio career in Columbus, and I couldn’t be happier to be back home to hang with you every morning.
I am what you would call a Nerdy guy. I enjoy everything from comic books, movies, TV shows, video games, and technology. I give you all the latest news and talk “Nerdy” to you every day during my NERD CORNER segment, and give you “All the News, you didn’t know, you wanted to know”. Also, As a musician, I take pride in promoting the local music scene, by giving artists a chance to come in and promote themselves and their upcoming shows and events.
I really love hearing from you the listeners, so check me out all across our Z92 social media, see below 🙂 and feel free to give your input, or just say “hey!”
I’ll see you in the morning, and as always, “Be In The Know!”
Got a song you like? Love? Shoot Chris an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tune in every Morning at 6 for the Z92 Morning Rush with Chris Sparks.
Hi, and thanks for reading! I just wanted to take a moment to tell you a little something about myself. I was born and raised in Zanesville and I’ve always enjoyed living here.
I’ve heard some people say there’s nothing to do, but I have a great time! I really like to bowl and I’ve bowled on leagues for years. I also enjoy softball, tennis, going to the movies, hanging out with friends and, of course, REDS BASEBALL. I’ve been a fan since I was seven, listening on AM 1240.
Just a few years ago (If you’re not too strict about the definition of “few”) I graduated from ZHS and, somehow, I made it through OUZ/OU and got my Bachelor’s Degree.
I’ve been working in local radio since 1990 and I’ve been with WHIZ for twelve years. I can’t imagine anything I’d rather do than work in radio and I really have a good time hosting the Midday Show on Z92. I hope you enjoy listening and I look forward to many more years of being your Midday radio pal.

The Mid-Day show on Z92 with Andy Shepherd – Every Monday thru Friday from
noon till 6pm.
What’s up Southeastern Ohio!? My name is Zach Harden, some people call me The Captain, and I’m not as old as this picture makes me look. I’ll be bringing some lovely noise to your ears on weeknights from 6pm to Midnight. **SPOILER ALERT: EVERYTHING AFTER THIS IS BORING**
I was born in Columbus but raised in the area for the most part and have been in Zanesville for a few years now. I’ve been with WHIZ for going on 5 years before I was bringing you the hits I was Broadcast Director for the news. I’m a certified audio geek (literally) with a passion for music, that’s what brought me to Z92! I have a huge love for recording and broadcasting, and I try to live by the quote “If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.”
Be sure to hit up the Z92 social media to stay up to date with the station and of course, yours truly! If you see me out, feel free to say “hey!” and of course, thank you for listening to your boy on Southeastern Ohio’s Hit Music Station!

Tune in every evening at 6 to hear Zach bring you the latest in music.
I’m Marty Kurtz, and I’m the fill-in DJ around here on Z92! I also have my own show, every Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. where I try to keep you up to date on what’s going on in the world. I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio but moved down here in 2013 to go to Muskingum University right down the road in New Concord. After I graduated in May 2017, I moved to Zanesville and have been working for WHIZ ever since!
I’m a pretty low key person who just enjoys what I do! I got into radio as soon as I got to Muskingum and ever since, I’ve fallen in love with it. I’ve gotten a chance to interview a few artists (namely country artists Craig Morgan and Drew Baldridge). I love music and I enjoy connecting the listener with the meaning behind the music. I think there’s a song for every situation out there and the more music you listen to, the more chances you get to connect to one. That’s why I’m always trying to promote new music!
Also, if you ever meet me, just know that I’m a HUGE Cleveland Indians fan! (Sorry Reds fans!)
Listen to Marty every Sunday from Noon-4!
