Aniyah Hart

Aniyah was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio.

After graduating high school in 2020, she attended Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where she was a cheerleader on the coed cheer team. During her time at SRU she also became involved in WSRU-TV, the on campus news club.

Later, she transferred to Towson University in Maryland to complete her undergraduate studies.

At Towson, she joined campus media organization The Lunch Table (TLT), where her passion for content creation and various media types grew. Additionally, she co-founded the Towson Newscast Club with a friend, to help provide students with more hands-on journalism experience outside of the classroom. In this role, she served as secretary, historian, and on-camera reporter.

In May 2024, Aniyah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, focusing on journalism.

Aniyah joined WHIZ in the fall of 2024.

A fun fact about Aniyah is that she has been a cheerleader since middle school and would like to re-audition for an NFL team in a few years. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys dancing, shopping, exploring new foods and cultures, and taking photos with her camera.
