10th annual Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation coat drive

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation is hosting its annual coat drive.
The drive benefits children in the Muskingum area. Over the ten years of the drive, hundreds of coats, sweatshirts, hats and other winter clothes have been collected. The CYF is now looking for donations for this year’s drive.
“Basically anything that maybe has been in your closet for a little while,” said coordinator Christy Rahrig. “Maybe something your children have outgrown, and you’re okay with giving it to someone who’s in desperate need of it this coming winter.”
The winter clothes collected will go to several local organizations that will, in turn, give the items to kids in need.
“All of our CYF members are going to bring the collected items together and then we will sort through based on what is needed where and we will drop it off at… Salvation Army, the Life Well at West Main. I’ve also been in contact with Bethel Community Center, and I’m also planning on reaching out to Eastside Community Ministry as well,” said Rahrig.
People can drop off donations from now until November tenth at several locations, including the Muskingum County Community Foundation. For a full list of locations accepting donations visit www.MCCF.org.
