ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Football season is in full swing but so is the annual United Way campaign, and this Saturday The Barn is bringing them both together for a great afternoon.

The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties will be having a Rally for the Bucks at 4 p.m. at The Barn. Director of Resource Development Katie McNeil said they will be selling 50/50 tickets, the game will, of course, be on, and after the game, there will be live music.

“Right now we’re in the middle of our annual campaign, and that runs September through the end of the year, and really what we’re trying to do is generate some investment for the community to help others in need in health, education, and financial stability,” said McNeil.

McNeil said all of the money that the United Way raises during the campaign stays local. She said it all goes to help support the programs they run, such as the new backpack feeding program United for Kids.

“But that money will go right back to the local communities we support,” said McNeil. “In fact, 100 percent of every dollar we get, we’re really lucky as the local United Way to be able to say that, but it goes back to impact people here in the communities we serve that are in need.”

McNeil said the rally kicks off at 4 p.m. on Saturday at The Barn and for more information, you can visit their Facebook page.
