Peanut Sale

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Roasted peanuts for sale!

The Zanesville Kiwanis club is in the middle of their biggest fundraiser of the year. Members of the club, along with students from the local Key Clubs, are out and about accepting donations for peanuts. The fundraiser is all about helping kids and 16-year-old Michael Durham is happy to be a part of it.

“It just gives me a good feeling inside, makes me happy, makes me get my mind off of other stuff and think about other people’s feelings,” said Durham.

All of the money raised will go towards the programs they run throughout the year to help children in the community, including the annual Christmas party. 16-year-old Aayla Mayle said she wanted to be a part of this fundraiser because she believes small acts can make a big difference, especially when it comes to helping children.

“I feel like children, as we’ve all have been, is really important to everybody,” said Mayle. “So I feel like this, the small little acts that we do can make something a big impact.”

Members of the Kiwanis Club will be out again Saturday giving peanuts away for donations at the intersections of Maple and Brandywine and Maple and Bell Street.
