1 Student Dead; 11 Injured at Youngstown State University

One student is dead and 11 are injured following a shooting at a fraternity party at Youngstown State University.

Youngstown Police say the shooting happened during the early morning hours Sunday. A University spokesman says the shooting happened at the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity house.

The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office identified the dead student as 25-year-old Jamail E. Johnson who was shot in the head and legs.

A spokeswoman from St. Elizabeth Health Center said eight of the 11 injured had been released. The Hospital would not comment on the conditions of the other three victims.

Police say no arrests have been made but they do have at least one suspect.
