100 MPH Car Crashes Into Guernsey County Courthouse

The Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol says a car reported stolen sped through Cambridge streets around 100 miles per hour before crashing into the Guernsey County Courthouse. Patrol Sergeant Bob Robson says all six people in the vehicle, who were from the Canton area, were injured in the crash early this morning. The occupants suffered serious injuries. Four were flown to Columbus for treatment. Robson says a trooper pursued the car from I-77 to I-70 but then lost it when it sped off an exit into Cambridge. He says the car was later found at the Courthouse where it struck a historical marker and park bench, then hit the buildings steps and flipped over. Investigators suspect alcohol was involved. Troopers say the names of those involved will not be released until they are formally charged.
