120 Room Birdhouse
One Zanesville man hand crafted a 120 bedroom condo but it’s not for sale.
Bob Brister lives on Potts Lane and enjoys building things for the yard. That’s why his grandson wanted him to build a birdhouse but not just any bird house.
"My grandson he wanted to have a bigger one. He wanted to have a 150 hole birdhouse but we ended up with 120," Brister said.
His 10 year old grandson calls it the bird condo. It took him three months to make and birds couldn’t wait to move in.
"They’re already nesting. They were taking stuff in as I was building it. I put the two boxes up first on the platform and then I started putting the trim and the roof on and when I was going to the garage to get my tools to come back out they were building a nest and taking stuff in that quick," Brister said.
He said the bird condo gets a lot of attention not only from the birds but people stop and ask about it. Brister said his grandson is very happy with it and they enjoy watching and feeding the birds.
