12th Annual Fall Brawl

Sit ringside as area boxers show off their talent.

The Police Athletic League of Zanesville-Muskingum County is hosting it’s 12th Annual "Fall Brawl" Fundraising Show. The public is invited to watch the amateur boxing competition.

"This year is probably going to be the biggest and the best due to the fact that our kids have been getting better every single year," said Coordinator and Trainer T.J. Hartmeyer.

Hartmeyer says the boxers train and compete at the state, regional, and national level. Several of the guys are in the process of qualifying for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

"We have a 14-year-old currently that is going to be on this fight that’s had almost 70 fights now and he’s won five national championships and he’s also a straight A student," he said.

The event will take place Saturday November 6th at 7 p.m. at the PAL Facility at 804 Pine Street. Tickets will cost $10.00 at the door and proceeds raised will help fund operations for several of the organization’s youth programs.
