Step back in time at Mark Twain Family Fun Day

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Samuel Clemens, better know by his pen name Mark Twain, passed away 106 years ago. But this Saturday you’ll have a chance to step back into time and learn about one of America’s greatest authors.
The Zanesville Concert Association will be hosting Mark Twain Family Fund Day at the John McIntire Library. Jim McLaughlin is a board member with ZCA and said that this will be a family friendly event for everyone.
“We’re going to retreat back to the days of Mark Twain,†said McLaughlin. “You’re welcome to come with your costumes on. There will be free ice cream, games, live music, and story readings. It should be a great fun event.â€
Mark Twain Family Fun Day begins tomorrow at 11 a.m. and runs till 1 p.m. and is free. McLaughlin said this is just one of many events that ZCA has planned in the coming months.
“We have a Christmas company with David Trolley, we have a ballet company from Russian in January, and we have an orchestra from the Ukraine in February. Both of these groups are on their world tour and are stopping in Zanesville,†said McLaughlin.
